I am currently a sophomore majoring in Computer Science, and studying at the University of California, Irvine. I am passionate about Software Development, and love all things tech. In my free time I can be found playing cricket or badminton, watching a movie or reading a book!






Experience



Software Development Intern at SalesZip

(July, 2016 - September, 2016)




  • Used Python, various Python packages and HTML to extract information such as address and company size of about 20 million companies from LinkedIn.
  • This information was to be used by SalesZip to help them sell software products from a third party company to the various companies whose data was extracted.
  • Scraping the data from LinkedIn involved traversing three layers of security, since LinkedIn does not provide API's containing data about companies to developers.

AsiaTV CricketBee

(February, 2016 - March, 2016)




  • I was one of the people who was responsible for creating and sending questions for CricketBee, which is a sports related televised quiz show,broadcast on AsiaTV USA.
  • Doing this involved hours of research in order to frame questions from different contexts with varying difficulty levels.

TeacherReview helps students review teachers for particular classes they have taken in the past, and allows students from any college to view these reviews and search for the teachers they wish to read reviews about or view the reviews of teachers belonging to a particular college. Used Python with Flask framework,HTML-5,CSS,JavaScripts,Bootstrap and SQL.

Modeled an air ticketing system which incorporates relational database system using MySQL and Java, along with a Graphical User Interace in the NetBeans IDE.
